The Yuanta Group, which employs around ten thousand financial professionals, has been recognized for its efforts to create a supportive workplace for parents. The company has received the “Friendly Childcare Business Award” from the Taipei City Government for two consecutive years.

The award, first introduced by the Taipei City Government in 2024, evaluates organizations on their organizational culture and policies, childcare support leave measures, on-site childcare services, economic support, and subsidy measures. It aims to encourage businesses to adopt family-friendly practices by highlighting those that excel in these areas. This year, both Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) and its subsidiary Yuanta Funds were honored with the “Outstanding Business Award.”

Yuanta FHC stated that talent is central to corporate sustainability and that creating an environment where employees can balance work and family life is a key responsibility. The company has implemented a maternal health protection plan and offers benefits such as enhanced breastfeeding room facilities, childcare leave beyond legal requirements, on-site medical consultations, and access to various childcare resources.

"Yuanta FHC believes that talent is the core foundation of corporate sustainability. Building a workplace environment that enables employees to balance work and family life is an important responsibility and mission of the company. Yuanta FHC has formulated a maternal health protection plan and continues to introduce various health promotion and childcare-friendly measures, including improving breastfeeding room facilities, offering childcare leave that exceeds legal requirements, providing on-site medical consultations, and presenting a wealth of childcare resources, allowing employees to balance their family and work needs. Yuanta FHC also advances employee assistance programs (EAPs) to pay close attention to the physical and mental health and work-life balance of employees, further constructing a safe and supportive workplace environment and achieving the goal of mutual prosperity for the company and the employees."

In addition to these initiatives, Yuanta FHC runs employee assistance programs designed to support staff well-being.

Yuanta Funds focuses on workplace safety, health and well-being, family stability, and community harmony. The company provides internal networks for family-work support as well as economic assistance like childcare allowances.

"As a leading public fund asset management company, Yuanta Funds focuses on four aspects of workplace security: workplace safety, health and well-being, family stability, and community harmony. By establishing an internal family-work support network and sharing resources, and providing economic support and childcare allowances, etc., Yuanta Funds utilizes its own corporate resources to empower and nurture talent for society. Yuanta Funds persists in taking concrete actions to meet the family care needs of employees, creating a childcare-friendly and healthy workplace environment, and working together with employees to build a sustainable and happy workplace."

The recognition from Taipei City comes as part of broader efforts in Taiwan’s business sector to promote diversity equity inclusion (DEI) initiatives within companies.
