The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) has issued a request for quotations (RFQ No. TPE200-25-Q-0044) seeking a new passenger van. According to the announcement, all interested firms must be technically qualified and financially responsible.
To be eligible, offerors are required to have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing in Taiwan. They must also show evidence of being authorized automobile dealers by the Taiwan government, possess all necessary local licenses and permits, comply with local insurance requirements, accept NET 30 payment terms via electronic funds transfer (EFT), provide commercial invoices exclusive of 5% tax, offer free delivery service, and adhere to Section 889 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
Quotations should exclude VAT, import duty, and commodity tax. Submissions must be sent electronically to Taipei_Procurement@state.gov by noon on September 12, 2025. The contract will be awarded to the lowest priced offer that meets technical requirements.
Payment will be processed through EFT within 30 days after receipt of a proper invoice and acceptance of goods or services.
Questions about the RFQ can be submitted until noon on September 3, 2025. AIT will respond to inquiries by email by 5:00 p.m. on September 5, 2025.
