The U.S. Embassy in Seoul has announced a new funding opportunity aimed at promoting economic collaboration between the United States and South Korea. The initiative, titled “Promoting Economic Prosperity with America,” will focus on strengthening America’s role as an economic partner in key Korean cities where American Spaces are present.
According to the Embassy, the program targets young Korean entrepreneurs aged 25 to 39 and seeks to support their development through a series of project-based activities, industry networking events, and by sharing success stories from major American industries. The Embassy is seeking a grantee to design and implement a 10-12 month program that includes participant selection, needs assessments, lecture series, and networking sessions.
The proposed program will include at least 20 sessions during its duration and will be conducted in partnership with the Embassy’s Public Diplomacy Section as well as staff from various American Corners across Korea. A minimum of 36 participants will be recruited from six American Spaces throughout the country to ensure representation across different economic sectors. Selection will occur through a competitive process based on merit.
“Strong preference will be given to proposals that include participants from outside the Seoul metropolitan region and utilize our American Corners (located in Busan, Gangneung, Gwangju, Jeju and Pyeongtaek) in addition to the American Diplomacy House in Seoul,” according to the announcement.
The total amount available for this opportunity is $50,000. Interested applicants must submit their packages via email by September 2, 2025.
For more information about objectives and requirements for participation, potential applicants are encouraged to consult Section C of the full Notice of Funding Opportunity document or contact SeoulPDGrants@state.gov for inquiries.
