Temporary flight suspensions have been announced at Islamabad International Airport as the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) prepares for Independence Day celebrations. The restrictions are in place to accommodate aerial display rehearsals, military aircraft maneuvers, and ceremonial activities.
According to the CAA, flights will be suspended daily from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and again in the evening from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM between August 11 and August 13. Flights outside these restricted hours are expected to operate as scheduled, but travelers may still face delays or rescheduling if their flights are near the affected times.
Travelers are advised to confirm their flight status with airlines, arrive early at the airport due to potential crowding, and monitor news sources for updates.
