The U.S. Embassy in Majuro, working with the Lutok Kobban Alele Committee, is seeking a vendor to provide event management services for Manit Week 2025. The event is scheduled to take place from September 22 to 26, 2025, and aims to promote U.S. interests by supporting the public celebration of Marshallese culture and heritage. The embassy’s involvement will be part of the “Idik Tur Eo – Stand and Defend” series, which highlights shared values between the United States and the Marshall Islands.

According to the announcement, "The objective is to promote U.S. interests by supporting Manit Week, a public celebration of Marshallese culture and heritage.  The U.S. effort will be part of the 'Idik Tur Eo – Stand and Defend' series emphasizing U.S. and Marshallese common values and interests."

The chosen vendor will handle logistics such as providing stage, lighting, sound equipment for events like the Battle of the Bands at Alele Museum Courtyard from September 24–26 in the evenings. Additional responsibilities include supplying tents, chairs, LED lighting at the museum site, coordinating with local instructors for weaving workshops during daytime hours on September 22–25, as well as developing promotional materials that incorporate both the event theme and U.S. Embassy branding.

Vendors are expected to manage all aspects of event execution without additional support from embassy staff. Duties also involve collaboration with local partners for smooth coordination of activities including managing prizes for competitions such as the People’s Choice Award.

To participate in this opportunity, vendors must submit detailed proposals that include company information; relevant experience; technical approach outlining how they will fulfill requirements; an itemized budget; references from similar projects; and any innovative ideas or value-added services they can offer.

Proposals should demonstrate technical expertise in cultural event management (weighted at 40% in evaluation), cost effectiveness (20%), creativity aligned with “Idik Tur Eo – Stand and Defend” (20%), references/past performance (10%), and messaging consistent with embassy standards (10%).

Submissions are due electronically by August 27, 2025 at 5:00 PM Majuro time via email to gso_majuro@state.gov or mailed to Office of General Services Officer at U.S. Embassy Majuro’s postal address.

Vendors must also complete required documentation including quotation/pricing details; NDAA 889 Form; Compliance Certificate related to Executive Order 14173 on anti-discrimination law; proof of registration in SAM (System for Award Management). Registration instructions can be found on https://www.sam.gov prior to proposal submission—unregistered vendors may not be considered further according to federal acquisition rules.

For questions about submission requirements or clarifications before applying, inquiries should be directed via email by August 26.

"We look forward to partnering with a vendor who shares our commitment to showing the U.S. commitment to preserving and celebrating Marshallese culture," states the announcement.
