Fubon Financial Holdings has announced a donation of NT$20 million to the Disaster Relief Donation Account of the Taiwan Foundation for Disaster Relief, which is managed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The funds are intended to support relief efforts following Typhoon Danas, which struck Chiayi on July 6 and caused significant damage in Tainan and Chiayi. The typhoon led to widespread outages of water and electricity, destruction of homes, and major losses in agriculture and public infrastructure.

Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings, commented on the company's response: "In the face of sudden natural disasters, businesses should do their best to be a stabilizing force in society. Fubon Financial Holdings consistently upholds its brand spirit of 'Be Positive All Possible' and steps up during critical moments to stand alongside those affected by disasters. We fully understand that the consequences of natural disasters involve not just the losses faced in the present but also the extensive challenge of restoring lives. Thus, we hope to contribute and extend support for the community's medium to long-term recovery and livelihood assistance efforts after the disaster. We encourage all sectors of society to continuously gather their resources to assist the affected residents in overcoming this challenging situation."

Subsidiaries Fubon Life and Fubon Insurance have implemented emergency measures for customers impacted by Typhoon Danas. Fubon Life activated its emergency response plan immediately after the disaster. Affected policyholders can access prompt claims service, medical insurance benefits for hospitalization costs, deferred premium payments, postponed interest on policy loans, help with mortgage applications, free policy reissuance, among other initiatives available until September 30, 2025. The company is also enhancing reporting mechanisms across regions to proactively check on affected policyholders.

Fubon Insurance established an emergency response team to monitor regional impacts from natural disasters and assess losses among policyholders. The company reached out directly with claims guidance and set up a rapid claims process aimed at helping clients resume normal life quickly. Special attention was given to agricultural losses; banana crops were particularly hard hit by Typhoon Danas. To address this issue promptly, Fubon Insurance organized vendors for immediate damage assessments related to banana plant insurance so farmers could begin cleanup operations without delay.

The company emphasized its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility both within Taiwan and internationally during major disasters: "Whether in Taiwan or during significant international disasters, we are committed to offering support at the first moment, actively conveying positive influence and practicing social care. Fubon Financial Holdings and its subsidiaries will continue to assist the government in the reconstruction efforts following this storm disaster. We also hope that all sectors of society will join in caring for and helping the affected communities to restore their homes as soon as possible."
