The U.S. Mission in the United Arab Emirates has issued a security alert following information about threats targeting Jewish and Israeli communities in the country. The mission is advising U.S. citizens to avoid locations linked to these communities, including places of worship.

"The U.S. Mission to the United Arab Emirates is aware of information indicating threats toward the Jewish and Israeli communities in the UAE. The Mission urges U.S. citizens to avoid locations in the UAE associated with the Jewish and Israeli communities, including places of worship."

U.S. citizens are encouraged to consult the State Department’s travel website for updated warnings, alerts, and country-specific information regarding the United Arab Emirates at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html.

Travelers can also enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) at https://step.state.gov/ to receive security messages and make it easier for authorities to locate them during emergencies.
