Mr. Chong Woo (Bret) Kim has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Korean-American Educational Commission (KAEC). The announcement was made by the Chair of the Board, with Mr. Kim set to oversee all Fulbright programs between the United States and the Republic of Korea. He officially took on his new role on August 1, following the retirement of Dr. Byungok Kwon, who served as Executive Director for six years.

The Commission welcomed Mr. Kim during its 75th anniversary year and noted his role in furthering U.S.-Korean relations through educational exchange.

"The Commission is pleased to have Mr. Kim as its new Executive Director and extends a warm welcome to him in this 75th anniversary year of the Korean-American Educational Commission as he continues the important work of the Commission in advancing U.S.-Korean people-to-people relations."
