Samsung Electronics has announced that its One UI 8 beta program will be made available to more Galaxy devices. The program, which began with the Galaxy S25 series in May, is expanding to include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 starting next week in Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and India.

The company stated: "The update sets the foundation for advanced multimodal capabilities to more Galaxy devices across various form factors, along with more intuitive Galaxy AI experiences that simplify everyday routines."

Samsung plans further expansion of beta availability in September. At that time, additional devices such as the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G and A54 will be included. Users interested in participating can sign up for the beta through the Samsung Members app.

One UI 8 introduces new AI-powered features intended to offer a smarter and more convenient user experience. These features leverage multimodal capabilities that can interpret real-time context and enable more natural interactions. When used with either Galaxy Buds3 or Buds3 Pro headphones, users will have the ability to activate Google’s Gemini by voice or by long-pressing on an earbud. The update is designed to work across different device types and aims to improve productivity through personalized suggestions.

According to Samsung: "Designed to complement Galaxy’s diverse form factors, One UI 8 enhances productivity and efficiency while offering personalized, proactive suggestions tailored to each user."

The official version of One UI 8 is scheduled for release in September. It will first be available on the Galaxy S25 series before being rolled out gradually to other supported models. Feedback from beta participants will be considered as part of this release process.

Additionally, later this year Samsung intends to extend One UI 8 Watch beyond its latest smartwatch model lineup. More Galaxy Watch models outside of the Watch8 series will receive updated health features and a redesigned interface aimed at providing a more motivational and user-friendly experience.

Samsung noted that availability of these updates may differ depending on device model and regional market.
