Groups of ten or more individuals, such as sports teams or clubs traveling to the United States for competitions, can apply for U.S. visas together through the Group Appointment option on the embassy’s appointment website. This process is also available to students participating in cultural exchanges and coworkers attending training or conventions.

Applicants are advised to plan ahead and submit their group visa applications at least three months before their intended travel date. This timeline helps ensure enough time for scheduling a group appointment, completing visa processing, and receiving passports.

Each member of the group must fill out a separate DS-160 electronic visa application form and pay the application fee. If a group organizer pays all fees, each applicant’s name should be listed on the receipt to confirm payment. More details about this process are available on the embassy's website at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-tt/niv/information/groups.

The group leader is responsible for making sure that all applicants—and parents if minors are involved—are fully informed about trip details such as travel dates, destinations, accommodations, and funding arrangements. The consular section will communicate directly with the group leader if there are any questions or discrepancies.

To begin a group application, applicants should use the “Group Processing” link under Nonimmigrant Visas at the bottom of the appointment page (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-tt/niv/information/groups). If submitted early enough, all members can be scheduled for interviews on the same day.

On interview day, the group leader should be interviewed first and confirm everyone’s presence. Each applicant will have an individual interview and must bring required documents: valid passport, printed DS-160 confirmation page, original polymer birth certificate (for those under 18), and a recent passport-sized photo with a solid white background.

For minors under 18 years old, at least one parent should attend the interview to support their child’s application. However, "Each individual applicant must qualify on their own merit. Membership in a group or team does not guarantee visa issuance."

If approved during the interview, passports are usually returned within one week. Passports for all applicants may be returned to the group leader upon request.

Groups with fewer than ten people or those not meeting requirements for a group appointment should create individual accounts and schedule regular nonimmigrant visa appointments but may try to book similar timeslots if possible.
