Yuanta Financial Holding Company (FHC) has announced a donation of NT$20 million to the Taiwan Foundation for Disaster Relief. The contribution is aimed at supporting relief efforts following the destruction caused by Typhoon Danas and strong southwesterly winds in central and southern Taiwan.
According to Yuanta FHC, the funds will be used for disaster relief, emergency medical care, shelter, accommodation, and reconstruction work in affected areas. The company stated that this initiative reflects its commitment to corporate social responsibility and support for communities facing hardship after natural disasters.
"The typhoon caused severe damage in many areas, leaving many residents facing property losses and difficulties in their daily lives. Yuanta FHC upholds corporate social responsibility and serves as a stabilizing force in society. Through donations, Yuanta FHC hopes to assist disaster victims in rebuilding their homes and returning to normal life as soon as possible," the company said.
Yuanta FHC also reported that it had activated its emergency response mechanism and customer care program immediately after the disaster. The firm noted that all its business operations across Taiwan—including securities, banking, life insurance, investment trusts, and futures—continue to function normally.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Taiwan Foundation for Disaster Relief is coordinating aid efforts to help those impacted by recent severe weather events.
