The U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo has announced plans to issue a solicitation for the purchase and installation of HVAC equipment at its office building in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The announcement states that the official request for quotes (RFQ) will be published on the federal contracting website https://www.sam.gov when it becomes available.
According to the notice, contractors will be required to provide a range of construction services. These include pre-construction activities, procurement of equipment, demolition and removal of old systems, installation of new HVAC components, as well as testing and commissioning at the embassy's office building.
Specific dates for submission of bids have not yet been set; these details will be provided once the RFQ is posted online. Interested vendors are advised that registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) is mandatory before any contract can be awarded. Registration must be active at the time of award, in accordance with federal acquisition regulations. More information about SAM registration requirements can be found on the SAM.gov website or through FSD.gov.
Vendors must also self-certify their compliance with several Federal Acquisition Regulation clauses—FAR 52.204-24, FAR 52.204-25, and FAR 52.204-26—as part of their SAM.gov representations under an interim rule issued in 2019. Offers from vendors who do not complete this certification or whose records do not show compliance will not be considered.
All responsible sources may submit an offer once the solicitation is open.
