A ceremony was held in Praia to mark the start of construction for a new U.S. Embassy building, with an investment totaling $443 million. The event was attended by U.S. Ambassador Jennifer Adams, Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva, and Francisco Carvalho, Mayor of Praia.
The project is managed by the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations at the U.S. Department of State, which oversees planning and construction of secure diplomatic facilities worldwide.
