Macquarie Bank has been awarded the title of ‘Major Lender of the Year’ by the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) for the sixth consecutive year. The MFAA, which represents mortgage and finance brokers, mortgage managers, and aggregators across Australia, holds its National Excellence Awards annually to highlight top performers in the industry.
Wendy Brown, Head of Broker Sales at Macquarie Bank, commented on the recognition: “When we were first recognised as Major Lender of the Year, it was a truly humbling experience for our team across Australia. I am pleased to say that, even after six consecutive years of being given this accolade, our excitement and gratitude for the support of our broker partners remains as strong as ever.”
In addition to national recognition, Macquarie Bank received Major Lender of the Year honors from MFAA award events in every state and territory recently. These awards are determined by an independent panel that assesses nominees based on best practices in the industry, customer service standards, and overall business performance.
Brown added: “Everything we do – from our Broker Portal to our support teams and credit processes – has been intentionally built for brokers. As the lending environment continues to evolve, we are focused on delivering the simple, fast and secure solutions brokers need to confidently deliver better outcomes for their customers.”
Macquarie is now Australia’s fifth largest household lender due to growth in loans sourced through mortgage brokers. About 95% of its home loans are arranged by brokers. The bank continues investing in technology and dedicated support for both brokers and their clients.
Last week saw Macquarie launch a nationwide advertising campaign called ‘Built for brokers, loved by customers’, encouraging Australians considering a home loan or refinancing option to consult one of over 22,000 mortgage brokers about Macquarie products.
