Part of its approach to a Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) society, Mitsui Canada has opened a Level 3 Electric Vehicle Charging Station in Scarborough. The station, developed and managed by Mitsui Canada, is located at Toyota Canada's headquarters at 1 Toyota Place.
“We are honored to have contributed to enhancing the BEV user experience through our collaboration with Toyota Canada. Mitsui Canada looks forward to continuing to create new value together with our partners,” said Takeshi Mitsui, President at Mitsui Canada.
The charging station aims to strengthen Canada's EV charging network and features four Level 3 fast charging pedestals powered by Jule's battery storage technology. “Jule’s technology offers a real-world solution to two of the most pressing barriers to EV adoption: charger accessibility and grid limitations,” said Carmine Pizzurro, President of Jule.
Jule, based in Scarborough and originating from the University of Toronto, designs Battery Energy Storage Systems coupled with high-powered EV charging stations.
“Continued investment in charging infrastructure is key to Canada’s transition toward electrified mobility, and we are proud to host Mitsui’s charging station,” stated Leslie Miller, CFO and COO of Toyota Canada Inc.
