The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines has announced that its Consular Section will be closed on July 23, 2025, due to severe weather conditions in Metro Manila. This closure affects services for U.S. citizens and visa appointments.

"The safety of Consular staff, U.S. citizens, and visa applicants is our top priority," the embassy stated. Those with scheduled appointments are advised to check their registered email addresses for rescheduling instructions.

Visa applicants with concerns can contact the customer service center at (02) 8548-8223 or (02) 7792-8988 for assistance. U.S. citizens needing to reschedule passport or notarial appointments should use the online appointment system. For other inquiries, they may reach out to the American Citizens Services unit at ACSInfoManila@state.gov. In emergencies involving a U.S. citizen, individuals are instructed to call (02) 5301-2000 and request connection to the officer on duty.

Despite the closure of consular operations, the Visa Application Center in Parañaque City will remain open on July 23 for all scheduled biometrics appointments.
