Panama Oeste, Panama – U.S. Ambassador to Panama Kevin Marino Cabrera visited Panama Oeste to strengthen the relationship between the United States and the province. The visit aligns with President Trump's commitment to expand economic engagement in the region. During his visit, Ambassador Cabrera met with local officials, business leaders, and community members.
“This visit highlighted the many ways our partnership continues to grow—through education, business, and shared values that strengthen our communities,” said Ambassador Cabrera.
Ambassador Cabrera's itinerary included meetings with Governor Marylin Vallarino, Chame Mayor Francisco León, La Chorrera Mayor Eloy Chong, and legislators Edwin Vergara, Lenin Ulate, and Eduardo Vásquez. In La Chorrera, he visited Pedro Pablo Sánchez School where he donated backpacks to students and watched a performance by the school's marching band. He also sampled local cuisine at Quesos Mili and Las Abejas – El Chichemito.
The ambassador toured businesses that highlight U.S.-Panama commercial cooperation. At Rimith Food Plant, he learned about Riba Smith’s distribution of U.S. food products. In Arraiján, he visited Aguas de Panamá water treatment facility—a subsidiary of 7 Seas Water Group—that provides clean water locally. At Dell Panama’s regional headquarters in Panama Pacifico, he emphasized its economic impact through job creation and financial contributions.
“Under President Trump’s leadership, we’re proud to support initiatives that deliver real results for both Americans and Panamanians,” Ambassador Cabrera said. “Whether it’s clean water, education or trade—we’re investing in a future of shared prosperity.”
