The 12th World Congress of Chemical Engineering, alongside the 21st Asian Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering Congress, commenced in Beijing on July 14. This marks the first occasion that both events are being held together in China. The congress is organized with authorization from the World Chemical Engineering Council and the Asian Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering. It is hosted by the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, in collaboration with CNPC, Sinopec, and Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
Approximately 5,000 delegates from 66 countries and regions are attending this five-day conference to discuss advanced technologies and research accomplishments. The opening day featured the International Chemical Engineering Innovation Expo 2025, which spans over an area exceeding 11,000 square meters. More than 130 global enterprises and institutions, including Sinopec, are participating in this exhibition.
