DBS has achieved a significant milestone by winning three global awards at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025. The bank was honored with the prestigious "World’s Best Bank" accolade, marking the third time it has received this recognition from Euromoney since 2019. Additionally, DBS was named the inaugural winner in the "World’s Best Bank for Customer Experience" category and received the "World’s Best Bank for Corporate Responsibility" award for the second time.
Dominic O’Neill, Head of Banking at Euromoney, praised DBS for its approach during times of economic uncertainty and technological change. He noted that DBS stands out due to its focus on trust, reliability, and ability to derive value from technology investments. He also highlighted the bank's transformation efforts that have positively impacted revenues, customer satisfaction, and staff retention.
In 2024, DBS reported a total income of SGD 22.3 billion and a net profit of SGD 11.4 billion, both reaching new highs. The bank achieved an 18% return on equity, one of the highest among developed market banks. It also became the first Singapore-listed company to surpass USD 100 billion in market capitalization.
DBS continues to innovate in customer service by engaging over 13 million customers through AI-powered personalized nudges aimed at improving financial decisions. The bank more than doubled its economic outcomes from AI to SGD 750 million through numerous use cases last year.
The bank's commitment to corporate responsibility spans environmental, social, and governance pillars with SGD 89 billion committed towards sustainable financing initiatives across Asia.
