KfW IPEX-Bank is advancing its role in Europe's energy transition by financing two wind farms in Türkiye. The bank is providing EUR 69 million for the delivery, installation, commissioning, and operation of these onshore wind farms as part of the YEKA-3 wind auction.
The project involves two wind farms located in the Karaman and Yozgat regions with a total capacity of 126 MW. German manufacturer Nordex will supply and install the 18 wind turbines. The financing is backed by Germany's export credit agency Euler Hermes.
Upon completion in spring 2026, these wind farms are expected to provide clean electricity to approximately 77,000 households and reduce CO₂ emissions by around 257,000 tonnes annually.
Dr Velibor Marjanovic, Member of the Management Board of KfW IPEX-Bank, expressed satisfaction with partnering with Eksim Enerji. "We are very pleased to have won Eksim Enerji as a new customer and to accompany them with our financing," he said. He also highlighted the bank's ongoing involvement in Türkiye's renewable energy market following their contribution to the YEKA-2 auction in October 2024. "Once again, we are emphasising our commitment to driving forward the energy transition in Europe."
