The U.S. Department of State has announced that a Presidential Delegation will attend the United States' National Day at Expo 2025 Osaka on July 19, 2025. This delegation was recently confirmed by the White House.
Leading the delegation is Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. He will be joined by United States Ambassador to Japan George Glass, Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer, Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, and USA Pavilion Commissioner General Ambassador William E. Grayson.
The group plans to visit the USA Pavilion and take part in official programming designed to highlight American leadership and bolster commercial and economic partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region. Their participation underscores a commitment to promoting a free, open, and secure Indo-Pacific area.
World Expos are known as World’s Fairs in the United States and provide unique opportunities to display American innovation, business acumen, and global leadership. Expo 2025 Osaka began on April 13, 2025, and is expected to attract around 28 million visitors over its six-month period. The USA Pavilion has already drawn about one million visitors with its immersive exhibits focusing on U.S. exchange opportunities, travel experiences, as well as innovation and space exploration achievements.
