Toyota Motor Europe reports record first-half vehicle sales

Toyota Motor Europe NV/SA (TME) has reported record sales for the first half of the year, with 635,328 vehicles sold. TME is responsible for wholesale sales and marketing of Toyota, GR (Gazoo Racing), and Lexus vehicles in Europe. The company also manages manufacturing and engineering operations in the region.

Toyota employs over 26,000 people across Europe and has invested more than EUR 12 billion since 1990. Its eight manufacturing plants are located in Portugal, the UK, France, Poland, Czech Republic, and Turkey. Approximately 14.7 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles are currently on European roads.

In 2024, TME achieved a market share of 7.1% with sales totaling 1,217,132 vehicles in Europe.

Toyota's mission focuses on "Mobility for All," aiming to create safer and more sustainable mobility solutions. In Europe, TME launched the KINTO mobility brand offering services in 20 countries. The company is expanding its business-to-business sales of zero-emission fuel cell products.

As part of its commitment to sustainability and carbon neutrality goals aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Toyota aims for a complete CO2 reduction in all new vehicles in Western Europe by 2035.
