Mary E. Daschbach is serving as the Charge d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Conakry, Guinea. With a career spanning over two decades, she has been a part of the Senior Foreign Service since joining the diplomatic service in 2000.

Daschbach's assignments have taken her across various U.S. Embassies in Africa. She has served as Deputy Chief of Mission in Yaounde, Cameroon and Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, Information Officer in Accra, Ghana, and Public Affairs Officer in Lome, Togo. Her experience extends to roles such as Senior Foreign Policy Advisor at the United States Africa Command's Strategy, Engagement, and Programs Directorate.

Her career also includes assignments in London, United Kingdom; San José, Costa Rica; and Washington D.C. Before joining the Foreign Service, Daschbach worked as Associate Peace Corps Director in Cotonou, Benin and began her government career at the Department of Justice.

She holds an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the College of Naval Warfare and a B.A. in French from Yale University. She is proficient in French and Spanish.
