The U.S. Embassy in Colombia has announced that representatives from the Regional Federal Benefits Unit will visit Medellín, Bogotá, Cali, and Pereira to provide services related to U.S. Social Security and other federal benefits.

In Medellín, the services will be available at Centro Colombo Americano on Carrera 45 #53-24 from August 25 to August 28, 2025, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM each day.

In Bogotá, the location is Centro Colombo Americano on Calle 98 No. 17-32, with service dates from August 25 to August 27, 2025, during the same hours.

Cali residents can access these services at Centro Colombo Americano on Calle 13 Norte No. 8-45 in Barrio Granada from August 25 to August 27, also between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

In Pereira, the venue is Centro Colombo Americano on Carrera 6 #23-58 at Biblioteca, piso 5. Services will be provided from August 25 to August 27 within the same time frame.

A limited number of tickets for daily services with a representative will be issued. Attendees are advised to bring original documents along with photocopies for application submission.

Those wishing to submit their Foreign Enforcement Questionnaire SSA form may do so during service hours at any of these locations. The "proof of life" forms for individuals whose Social Security Numbers end with digits between "00 through "49" have been mailed this year to addresses registered in Colombia.

Applicants for Social Security benefits should bring original and copied documents such as birth certificates and U.S. passports. Those applying for auxiliary or survivor's benefits must also present marriage and death certificates if applicable.

For applications related to Social Security Number Cards, an original birth certificate, a copy of it along with a U.S. passport, and a completed SS-5FS form are required.
