The U.S. Embassy in Mozambique is launching two free English programs aimed at young creatives and STEM talents. These initiatives are designed to enhance the participants' professional skills and global opportunities.
The "Creative English – Telling Your Story to the World" program targets artists, musicians, writers, and creators who wish to share their stories globally. Participants will learn how to introduce themselves, build portfolios, and pitch ideas in English.
For those in science, technology, engineering, or math fields, the "English for STEM Success" program offers a chance to develop professional English skills beneficial for scholarships and research opportunities worldwide.
Both programs will be held at the American Corner and American Center in Maputo from August 1 to October 17, 2025. Sessions will be conducted both in-person and hybrid formats. Interested individuals must apply by July 15, 2025.
Key dates include outreach and promotion activities from July 14-18 via various platforms. The application window opens on July 14 with reviews taking place between July 21-23. Shortlisted candidates will undergo English placement tests on July 24 before final selections are made on July 29.
An onboarding email with access links and schedules will be sent out on August 1. The first in-person sessions are scheduled for August 5 and August 7.
