DBS/POSB has announced a significant initiative to mark Singapore's 60th anniversary, providing SGD 23 million in savings and support to customers and beneficiaries through its SG60 initiatives. This year-long program aims to ease living and business costs for the community.

From today until September 27, DBS PayLah! users can redeem up to SGD 3 in cashback rewards every Saturday at participating hawker stalls, wet markets, and heartland shops. POSB debit and credit cardholders will also benefit from special meal deals at various food outlets.

The bank is offering multi-generational experiences such as complimentary sunset sailboat rides in Marina Bay and tours for seniors at the DBS Singapore Gallery. Launched in March, the SG60 initiatives include grocery and meal deals, mortgage payment reductions, waivers for merchants, and a support program for vulnerable seniors.

"DBS has been an integral part of Singapore’s nation-building over the past 60 years," said Lim Him Chuan, Singapore Country Head of DBS. "In this SG60 year marked by uncertainty, our hope is that our measures can help ease cost of living concerns."

The details were shared at the DBS/POSB “SG60 Pop Up” event attended by Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong among others. The bank plans to continue its community engagement efforts throughout the year with digital literacy carnivals and roadshows aimed at financial education.
