Fubon Group, in collaboration with the Risk Society and Policy Research Center at NTU, hosted the "Fubon Sustainable Future Forum" today. The forum focused on "Opportunities and Risks for Taiwan's Sustainable Transition in Light of New Political and Economic Trends." Key speakers included Peng Jin-lung, Chairperson of the FSC, Gao Xian-Gui, Vice Chairperson of the National Development Council, and Daniel M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Group.

Daniel M. Tsai emphasized that Taiwan is facing a moment where crises coexist with opportunities. He highlighted challenges such as climate change and energy independence impacting Taiwan's sustainable transformation. Tsai stated that the financial industry should help industries navigate high-risk periods by offering green financing and innovative insurance solutions.

Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings, expressed the company's commitment to being a catalyst for sustainable transition in the financial industry. Fubon aims to integrate sustainable strategies into its operations with a target of NT$2.9 trillion in green finance by 2030.

The forum began with a discussion on "Trump 2.0 and Taiwan's Net Zero Carbon Emission Opportunities," moderated by Edward H. Chow with panelists Wei Lo and Daniel Liu analyzing impacts on Taiwan's transition goals.

The NTU Risk Center released its fourth corporate sustainability survey in collaboration with Fubon titled "2025 Corporate Sustainability Disclosure Readiness Survey," examining corporate climate-related disclosures and sustainable finance impacts.

Kuei-Tien Chou from NTU Risk Center stressed Taiwan's need to enhance efforts in global technology supply chains amidst international hesitance or delays in sustainability.

In the second half of the forum, Mr. Tsutomu Sato shared Japan's experiences with green transformational finance policies while Tim Kuo from Taipei Fubon Bank discussed collaboration between financial industries for sustainable transition.

Fubon Financial Holdings promotes sustainable operations under its brand spirit "Be possible All possible," aiming to accelerate Taiwan towards net-zero goals through various initiatives including carbon reduction workshops and tree-planting activities since 2021.
