The U.S. Embassy in Djibouti, alongside the Ministry of Labor and the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP), celebrated the graduation of civil servants from a four-month English training course. This course was part of the English Language Virtual Educator Program.
The program, delivered virtually by Dr. Duane Gordon, aims to enhance English proficiency among Djibouti's civil service workforce. The graduation ceremony included remarks from U.S. Ambassador Cynthia Kierscht, highlighting the United States' commitment to education and professional development in Djibouti.
“Learning a language is an investment that pays off tremendously,” said Ambassador Kierscht. “It opens doors to professional success, connects individuals to the world as global citizens, and fosters cross-cultural relationships that strengthen communities and nations.”
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the U.S. Embassy to promote English language skills through various programs across Djibouti, including at INAP and American Corners. These efforts aim to empower participants with new opportunities and contributions to their communities.
Graduates were praised for their dedication in completing the program, which is expected to enhance their professional skills and future prospects.
