On July 9, 2025, the Volkswagen Group released its delivery statistics for the first half of the year. The data showed significant growth in all-electric vehicle deliveries worldwide, with a rise of approximately 50 percent.
The group experienced growth in South America (+18 percent), Western Europe (+1 percent), and Central and Eastern Europe (+9 percent). However, there were declines in China (-2 percent) and North America (-7 percent).
The global share of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) increased from 7 to 11 percent compared to the previous year. Europe saw an increase of 89 percent, while the USA experienced a growth of 24 percent. Meanwhile, China saw a decline of 34 percent. Volkswagen Group remains a market leader in Europe with a BEV market share of around 28 percent.
New models such as the VW ID.7 Tourer, CUPRA Terramar, Skoda Elroq, Audi Q6e-tron, and Porsche 911 have driven rising orders across all drive types. Orders for BEVs increased by 62 percent.
In Europe, vehicle deliveries rose by 2.0 percent to nearly two million units. In Germany alone, there was an increase of almost two percent.
North America recorded a decrease in deliveries by nearly seven percent compared to last year, with the USA seeing an even larger drop of about eight and a half percent.
South America showed strong growth with an increase of over eighteen percent to more than three hundred thousand vehicles delivered.
In Asia-Pacific, deliveries fell slightly by just over one percent due mainly to competitive pressures in China.
Volkswagen's ID series models led sales figures among electric vehicles: ID.4/ID.5 at nearly eighty-five thousand units and ID.3 at over sixty thousand units sold during this period.
