Hanoi, July 9, 2025 — The U.S. Mission to Vietnam has announced the launch of the 2025 Fulbright Specialist Program focused on American Studies. This program offers Vietnamese host institutions an opportunity to invite distinguished Fulbright specialists to foster academic exchange and collaboration.

The initiative is part of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of U.S.-Vietnam relations and coincides with the upcoming celebration of the United States' Declaration of Independence's 250th anniversary. "We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating this significant milestone by submitting your project proposals and becoming an integral part of this historic occasion," states the announcement.

Projects under this program are expected to last between two to six weeks, scheduled from March 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026. Institutions can submit requests either with a named specialist or as open projects. For open projects, support will be provided in recruiting suitable specialists.

Specialists involved will engage in various activities such as delivering seminars or workshops, consulting on faculty development, developing curricula and materials, lecturing at different educational levels, and conducting assessments for programs or institutions.

Eligible applicants include Vietnamese higher education institutions like colleges and universities, government bodies, NGOs, cultural organizations such as museums and conservatories, and think tanks.

The deadline for applications is August 31, 2025. Further details can be obtained from Ms. Vu Thi Diu at the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi.
