Acting U.S. Consul General JoEllen Gorg emphasized the initiative's aim to strengthen ties between the United States and Nigeria. "We are delighted to partner with the Ogun State Government and GFA Technologies to open the Ogun Tech Hub Window on America in Abeokuta," she said.
Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun highlighted its role as a hub for knowledge exchange and digital skills training. "This is the opening of a window to endless possibilities," he stated, encouraging residents to engage with this opportunity.
Debo Omololu, Co-Founder/CEO of GFA Technologies, praised the partnership with the U.S. government, expressing hope that local youth would benefit from available resources.
The center will host programs showcasing American culture and offer access to eLibraryUSA's academic resources. It joins over 700 American Spaces worldwide, including 29 locations across Nigeria.
