Vantage Data Centers is constructing a new data center near Frankfurt am Main, Germany. KfW IPEX-Bank has taken on the roles of Underwriter and Bookrunner for this project, collaborating with two international banks. The general syndication in the European project finance market was recently completed with notable success.

The data center project incorporates a comprehensive sustainability concept. It features advanced energy efficiency with an annual Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of approximately 1.2. Water consumption will be minimized as the cooling process does not involve water evaporation. Additionally, the facility is expected to operate entirely on renewable energy sources, and its design includes waste heat connections that allow heating grid operators to utilize excess heat.

Aida Welker, a member of the Management Board of KfW IPEX-Bank, commented on the financing: “With this financing we support the digital infrastructure in Germany and thus strengthen the digital backbone for the German economy and society.” She added, “It’s a pleasure to again serve our valued client Vantage Data Centers and foster their activities in the German data center market.”
