Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) reported a notable increase in sales for the second quarter of 2025, with a total of 73,346 vehicles sold, marking an 8.6% rise compared to the previous year. In June alone, TCI sold 22,059 vehicles, reflecting a significant growth of 17.2% from June 2024.
The Toyota division experienced Q2 sales of 62,930 units, up by 6.5% year over year. For June, this division saw sales reach 18,924 units, which is a substantial increase of 19.7% from the same month last year.
Lexus division achieved record-breaking Q2 sales with 10,416 units sold, representing a remarkable increase of 23.5% year over year. The division also recorded June sales of 3,135 units, up by 4.3% from June the previous year.
Electrified vehicles played a significant role in these figures. Year-to-date (YTD), electrified vehicle sales reached a record high of 64,002 units—an increase of 20.8% compared to last year—and accounted for more than half (51.5%) of TCI's overall YTD sales.
In terms of divisions: "YTD for the Toyota Division," electrified vehicle sales made up "50.2% of all units sold," while for Lexus Division it was "59.3%."
Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEVs), including electric vehicles (EVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), totaled "7,810" among electrified Toyota and Lexus vehicles sold YTD.

For Toyota:
- Prius Plug-in achieved its best Q2 and record June.
- Corolla Hybrid had its best quarter ever and best month sales ever.
- Camry Hybrid set a new record for June.
- Corolla Cross Family marked its best quarter ever and set a new record for June.
- RAV4 Family reached its best quarter ever.
- Grand Highlander Gas set a new record for June.
- Grand Highlander Hybrid achieved its best quarter ever and set a new record for June.
- Sequoia Hybrid marked its best quarter ever.
- Sienna Hybrid also had its best quarter ever.
For Lexus:
- NX Family reached its best quarter ever and set a new record for June.
- NX Hybrid achieved its best Q2 performance.
- NX Plug-in had its best quarter ever and set a new record for June.
- RX Plug-in also reached its best quarter ever and set a new record for June.
- TX Family established a new record in June with both gas and hybrid versions setting records as well.
The demand was particularly strong for models assembled in Canada: Canada's top-selling passenger vehicle—the Toyota RAV4—manufactured by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada saw "a record Q2 with" "24,236 units sold," an increase of "11.6%" from last year’s numbers including "5,795 units in June," up by "4.5%" from the previous year's figures.
Additionally, the Lexus NX family produced by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada also experienced robust demand with Q2 sales rising by "86.2%" and those in June increasing by "16.8%."
