Representatives from the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) visited the Pankisi Valley on June 27. The purpose of their visit was to engage with a long-standing partner, the Roddy Scott Foundation (RSF). This local non-governmental organization has been providing educational and professional opportunities for youth in the valley since 2008, contributing to stability, security, and prosperity.

During their visit, U.S. officials met with local teenagers who are part of RSF’s English and computer literacy programs. These programs are based on American standards. Additionally, the group watched a film about American achievements in space and engaged in discussions about perseverance and overcoming challenges.
