UOB is set to transform its Plaza 1 building into the world's tallest, brightest, and longest projection mapping canvas in celebration of its 90th anniversary and Singapore's 60th year of independence. From June 28 to August 9, the facade of the 280-meter-tall building will feature a series of projection mapping shows created by local talents.
The main event, "UNITY," is presented by UOB in partnership with Hexogon Solution Pte Ltd. This show has achieved three Guinness World Records titles: Largest Light Output in a Projected Image, Longest Architectural Projection-Mapped Display (Temporary), and Highest Projection Image on a Building. Creative Director Benjamin Tan leads the six-minute animation that highlights UOB's history and values through three acts: Time, Transformation, and Tomorrow.
Ms Janet Young from UOB expressed gratitude for community support over the years, stating that the showcase is a way to give back. Colonel Edwin Chua from the National Day Parade (NDP) 2025 Show Committee shared excitement about partnering with UOB for this visual spectacle. Adrian Goh from Hexogon Solution praised the collaboration as a meaningful celebration of progress and national pride.
Additionally, UOB will host its Painting of the Year Showcase featuring projections adapted from winning artworks since 1982. The SG60-themed projections will pay tribute to Singapore’s independence with animations including transitions between SG60 and UOB90 logos.
The shows are scheduled twice nightly on weekdays and thrice on weekends. More details can be found in the annexes provided by UOB.
