The U.S. Embassy in Bahrain has announced that it has returned to normal staffing and operations. However, it continues to advise U.S. citizens residing in or traveling to Bahrain to exercise caution and stay updated on security announcements.

U.S. citizens are encouraged to refer to the embassy's website for the latest security alerts and enroll in the Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). According to the embassy, "STEP enrollment gives you the latest security updates and makes it easier for the U.S. Embassy to contact you in an emergency."

Travelers should ensure they have a valid U.S. passport for any short-notice travel by scheduling a passport appointment through the embassy's website. Additionally, individuals are advised to be aware of their surroundings, avoid demonstrations and large gatherings, monitor official information sources, and follow instructions from local authorities.

For assistance, appointments are required for all services at the U.S. Embassy Manama located at Building 979, Road 3119, Block 331, Zinj. Contact details include their website bh.usembassy.gov and phone number +973 1724 2700. The State Department’s Consular Affairs can also be reached at 888-407-4747 or 202-501-4444.
