Ambassador Eugene Young has extended his congratulations to seven young Congolese leaders who have been selected for the Mandela Washington Fellowship 2025 program. This month, these individuals will travel to the United States for a six-week training session at an American institution of higher education. The training will focus on one of three areas: business leadership, civic engagement, or public management.

The Mandela Washington Fellowship is a key initiative by the U.S. government aimed at African youth. It seeks to enhance the leadership skills of young people dedicated to their countries' development and encourages sustainable cooperation between the United States and African nations. The program is viewed as an investment in a skilled and connected youth, prepared to tackle future economic, social, and institutional challenges.
