Toyota Motor Europe (TME) recently celebrated its top retailers with the 2025 Ichiban awards in Bologna. TME is responsible for the wholesale sales and marketing of Toyota, GR (Gazoo Racing), and Lexus vehicles, as well as parts and accessories. It also manages Toyota's European manufacturing and engineering operations.
Since 1990, Toyota has invested over EUR 12 billion in Europe, employing more than 26,000 people directly. The company operates eight manufacturing plants across Portugal, the UK, France, Poland, Czech Republic, and Turkey. Currently, approximately 14.7 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles are on European roads. These drivers are supported by a network of 28 National Marketing and Sales Companies along with around 2,800 retail sales outlets spanning 53 countries including EU nations, the UK, EFTA countries, Israel, Turkey, and other Eastern European countries.

Toyota promotes "Mobility for All," aiming to foster safer and more connected mobility solutions while striving towards sustainability goals under its mission of producing “Happiness for All.” In this vein, TME launched the KINTO mobility brand which provides a variety of services in 20 countries while expanding business-to-business sales of zero-emission fuel cell products.
As part of its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and carbon neutrality efforts across Europe, Toyota is focusing on CO2 reduction initiatives. As a leader in CO2 reduction historically within Europe, TME plans to achieve complete CO2 reduction in all new vehicles in Western Europe by 2035 while continuing to offer electrified powertrains such as hybrid options across the region.
