Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (TMMC) has been awarded the 2025 Gold J.D. Power Plant Quality Award, marking its 23rd accolade from J.D. Power. This recognition highlights the dedication and skill of TMMC's team, according to Frank Voss, the outgoing President of TMMC. "This 23rd J.D. Power award is a powerful testament to the skill, passion, and dedication of the entire team at TMMC," said Voss.

The award was given based on the results of the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Initial Quality Study, which surveyed customers who purchased or leased 2025 model year vehicles between March 2024 and February 2025. The study evaluates customer-reported defects or malfunctions within the first 90 days of ownership.

TMMC’s South Plant in Cambridge, Ontario received top honors in the North and South America Region for producing the Lexus RX model. This marks the twelfth time that this particular plant has been recognized with such an award.

Since becoming eligible in 1991, TMMC has accumulated a total of 23 plant quality awards from J.D. Power, including three platinum awards for being the top automotive manufacturing plant globally.

In addition to its accolades, TMMC manufactures several models including Toyota RAV4 and Lexus RX series at its facilities in Ontario. Employing over 8,500 Canadians, it boasts an annual production capacity exceeding half a million vehicles and has been Canada's highest volume automotive manufacturer for five consecutive years.
