UBS has announced the expansion of its UBS Optimus Foundation offering in the United States. The foundation is a platform designed to support clients' philanthropic goals through flexible and tax-advantaged giving solutions. This expansion provides access to a broader portfolio of programs within the U.S., alongside existing global initiatives.

The foundation allows clients to contribute to national-scale programs that address issues in education, health, environment, and emergency response. UBS covers all administrative costs for the foundation, ensuring that 100% of donations go directly to supporting its programs. Additionally, UBS offers up to a 10% match on client and employee donations, subject to availability.

The UBS Optimus Foundation US is registered as a 501(c)(3) public charity and now accepts Required Minimum Distributions from IRAs as Qualified Charitable Distributions.

Bea Martin, UBS Group Executive Board Lead for Sustainability & Impact, stated: "At UBS, we believe wealth management and philanthropy are deeply intertwined... Expanding access to philanthropic opportunities will make it easier for our clients to create meaningful, lasting impact across their local communities."

Robert Karofsky, Co-President of Global Wealth Management at UBS and Executive Chair of the UBS Optimus Foundation US, commented: "As we continue to invest in our US business... Expanding the Foundation’s presence in the US enables our clients to easily support the causes and communities most important to them."
