Virginia E. Palmer – U.S. Ambassador | U.S. Embassy in Ghana

The United States, in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service, has inaugurated 10 liquid oxygen plants across seven regions in Ghana. This marks a significant investment in the country's oxygen infrastructure. The newly commissioned plants are designed to be reliable and efficient, even during power outages. With this initiative, more than 155,000 Ghanaians will gain access to essential healthcare annually.

The U.S. Embassy also provided 104 motorcycles to the Ghana Health Service and the Christian Health Association of Ghana. These motorcycles will enable community health officers to deliver vital care to remote areas. Over the last three years, the U.S. has contributed over 300 motorcycles, 22 vehicles, 3,000 tablets, three boats, and $1.7 million worth of health equipment to support Ghana's healthcare system.

This partnership aims not only to save lives but also to enhance global health security and strengthen economic ties between the two nations.
