Djibouti has launched the National Summary Data Page (NSDP), implementing a key recommendation of the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS). This system encourages countries to voluntarily publish timely data essential for monitoring and analyzing economic performance.

The NSDP acts as a centralized portal for disseminating macroeconomic data compiled by various statistical agencies. The data includes statistics on national accounts, prices, government operations, debt, monetary and financial sectors, and the external sector.

The launch was supported by an IMF technical assistance mission, funded by Japan through the Japan Administered Account for Selected Fund Activities. It was conducted in collaboration with the African Development Bank from June 9 to 12, 2025. The Central Bank of Djibouti hosted the mission in close collaboration with Djibouti's Ministry of Budget, Ministry of Economy and Finance, and National Statistics Institute.

Djibouti joins 75 countries globally and 35 in Africa using e-GDDS to disseminate standardized data. Bert Kroese, Chief Statistician and Data Officer at the IMF’s Statistics Department, praised this development as a significant milestone in Djibouti’s statistical progress. He stated that Djibouti would benefit from using e-GDDS participation to improve data transparency further. The IMF is prepared to "continue supporting the authorities in further developing their statistical systems."
