The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a Fulbright exchange initiative, is currently accepting applications for the 2026–2027 academic year. The program aims to enhance leadership among international professionals who work together to address both local and global challenges, fostering change for collective benefit.
Participants in the program will engage in an academic year of study at a U.S. university and professional development alongside U.S. counterparts. This initiative seeks to build a growing global network that shares best practices and develops expertise in fields crucial for advancing societal and institutional capacity, promoting human rights and freedoms, ensuring sustainable lands, and nurturing thriving communities.
By providing future leaders and policymakers with experience in U.S. higher education, society, culture, and professional organizations, the fellowship lays the groundwork for lasting ties between Americans and their professional counterparts abroad.
The areas of study offered by the program include Economic Development, Finance & Banking, Public Policy Analysis and Public Administration, Technology Policy and Management under Human and Institutional Capacity; Communications and Journalism, Law and Human Rights under Rights and Freedoms; Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resources, Environmental Policy, Climate Change under Sustainable Lands; as well as Public Health Policy Management, Substance Abuse Education Treatment Prevention (see 4b), Educational Administration Planning Policy under Thriving Communities.
