The U.S. Embassy in Nassau has announced a call for proposals from qualified suppliers to provide temporary janitorial services. The request for proposals was posted on June 17, 2025, and will remain open until June 30, 2025.

Interested parties are encouraged to request solicitation documents or additional information by emailing NelsonDA@state.gov. According to the announcement, "All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered."

To qualify, companies must meet several criteria: they must be technically qualified and financially responsible, have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing, possess all necessary licenses and permits required by law, register on the System for Award Management (SAM), and provide NDAA Certification. Additionally, businesses should not have any political or business affiliations that could conflict with U.S. interests.

The embassy also specifies that companies must be willing to accept a purchase order that does not allow for mobilization or stage payments and agree to receive full payment within 30 days after completion and inspection via electronic funds transfer.

U.S.-based companies interested in operating in The Bahamas are advised to visit www.bahamas.gov.bs for more information on operational requirements.
