I began to specialize in bridging traditional scientific disciplines with business to achieve a significant impact.
The focus has shifted from ideas to people. While I aspire to be punctual, the journey holds more importance than the destination. My approach has evolved from being a lone wolf to becoming more of a team player, though some independent traits remain.
I prefer novelty over routine and identify as a risk-taker, evident from my numerous broken bones. I focus on the big picture rather than fine details. The concept of luck is complex; while I dislike passivity, I hope not to be arrogant in believing I make my own luck.
Work-life balance is essential, but its meaning varies for everyone.
"People or ideas? That’s changed. It was ideas, now more people."
"On time or running late? I aspire to be on time."
"The journey or the destination? The journey."
"Lone wolf or team player? That's also changed. I was very much a lone wolf and am now more of a team player - but I retain a few wolfish markings."
"Novelty or routine? Novelty."
"Risk-taker or risk-averse? Risk-taker. I have lots of broken bones."
"Big picture or fine detail? Big picture."
"Are you lucky or do you make your own luck? So it’s the arrogance of making your own luck versus the passivity of being lucky. I hate the passivity, but I hope I’m not that arrogant."
"Work, work, work or work-life balance? Definitely work-life balance but I'm not sure what that means. It's different for everyone, I guess."
