Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of the Art Basel in Basel (ABB) Collection, an exclusive digital art collection available on Samsung TVs through the Samsung Art Store. This collection represents the most extensive Art Basel collection to date, featuring 38 curated works from renowned artists and galleries worldwide. The ABB Collection is notable for its emphasis on diversity, including representation from an Africa-based gallery for the first time.
The collection will be displayed at Art Basel in Messe Basel, Switzerland, from June 19-22. Selected from over 100 submissions, these pieces focus on artist diversity, medium variety, and geographic representation. Highlights include works by Jo Baer, Kibong Rhee, and Lynn Hershman Leeson.
Samsung will also present an interactive lounge titled ArtCube at Art Basel. This showcase demonstrates how Samsung's The Frame, MICRO LED, and Neo QLED 8K redefine digital art experiences with detailed displays of artwork from the ABB Collection. Visitors can engage with Samsung Art Store’s collections and create customized portraits of moving art pieces through tailored curation.
The collaboration between Samsung and Art Basel began with the 2024 Art Basel Miami Beach and continued with the 2025 editions in Hong Kong and now Basel. Maike Cruse, Director of Art Basel in Basel said: “With the launch of a new collection in the Samsung Art Store for Art Basel in Basel 2025, we’re thrilled to offer our global audiences new ways to engage with our show.”
Samsung's TV lineup includes models such as Neo QLED 8K and The Frame Pro that transform screens into personalized art galleries using AI-enhanced picture quality.
