On June 12, 2025, a deportation charter flight arrived at Piarco International Airport in Trinidad and Tobago. The flight was facilitated by U.S. embassy personnel in collaboration with local authorities. The operation involved six Trinbagonian deportees, three males and two females, aged between 19 and 57. All individuals had significant criminal records.
Upon arrival, the deportees were processed by Trinidad and Tobago Customs and Immigration along with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS). One of the deportees had been previously deported from the U.S. and faced an outstanding warrant for robbery in Trinidad and Tobago.
Representatives from the Ministry of Social Development and Family Service, as well as the NGO Vision on Mission, were present to provide necessary support services to those requiring assistance.
The U.S. embassy acknowledged the cooperation of several local entities including Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation, Customs and Immigration, TT Airport Authority, and TTPS for their roles in managing the arrival of the charter flight.
U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Dr. Jenifer Neidhart de Ortiz commented on the event: “This latest cooperative effort highlights the close working relationship between our nations, our law enforcement professionals, and all levels of government in facilitating a top U.S. administration priority to ensure secure our borders.”
