Cassandra Allen, a student from Mississippi, has been recognized as FLEX Abroad's Student of the Month for her remarkable accomplishments. Cassie is known for her academic excellence and passion for painting, taking classes at a local art studio. She also dedicates her time to volunteering at the American Corner in Tbilisi, teaching English to 4th and 5th-grade students. Her volunteer work extends to participating in a film club and a STEM club, as well as collaborating with Georgian and Ukrainian peers on environmental projects.

Cassie's interest in fencing was sparked by her neighbor, a Georgian fencing champion. This led her to join a fencing club and attend masterclasses at the Georgian Fencing Federation. She has formed a strong bond with her Georgian host family, enriching her experience in Georgia while sharing aspects of American culture with those around her.

FLEX Abroad is a program funded by the U.S. government that offers American high school students the opportunity to live abroad with host families and attend local schools for one year. The program's goal is to enhance mutual understanding between people of the United States and other countries.
