Fubon Financial Holdings has been recognized as the "Most Honored Company" by Extel, marking its fourth consecutive year receiving this accolade. The announcement was made following a voting event for the "Best Management Teams in Asia for 2025," organized by Extel, previously known as Institutional Investor Research.
In the results released on May 20th, Fubon Financial Holdings emerged as the champion in the "Asian Insurance Industry (excluding Mainland China)" category and secured second place in the "All-Asia Insurance Industry" category. It remains the only Taiwanese financial institution to achieve this distinction four years in a row.
Extel's survey involved participation from 1,167 investment institutions, comprising 5,437 corporate representatives and 863 analysts from 157 brokerage firms. A total of 1,324 organizations and 6,300 professional investors cast their votes across various industries and companies. The survey adhered to a rating method established over fifty years ago with strict voter eligibility criteria and no third-party sponsorships to maintain assessment independence.
Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings, highlighted that the company has maintained a leading market position in Taiwan for over six decades. Its subsidiaries offer comprehensive financial products aimed at providing diverse services to customers. In 2024, Fubon achieved record profitability within Taiwan's financial holding industry for the sixteenth consecutive year.
The recognition reflects Fubon's management capabilities and commitment to ESG sustainable governance. In categories such as 'Best CEO', 'Best CFO', 'Best Investor Relations Company', 'Best Investor Relations Professional', 'Best Sustainable Governance', and 'Best Board of Directors', Fubon ranked among the top two based on institutional investor and analyst votes.
Jerry Harn, President of Fubon Financial Holdings, emphasized that their investor relations team plays a crucial role in communication between investors and the company through quarterly briefings and participation in investment forums.
Fubon's commitment to sustainable governance is evidenced by its inclusion in Taiwan Stock Exchange's "Taiwan Corporate Governance 100 Index" for ten consecutive years and being part of the highest level of Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI World) for eight years straight. It also received an "A grade" from CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) for climate change leadership over five years.
Looking forward, Fubon aims to enhance stakeholder communication while advancing towards becoming one of Asia’s premier financial institutions.
