U.S. official Eric Meyer to discuss security and trade in Uzbekistan

Senior Bureau Official Eric Meyer is set to visit Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from June 9-10, 2025. The trip will involve meetings with senior Uzbekistani government officials to strengthen cooperation between the United States and Uzbekistan in security and trade.

During his visit, Meyer will also attend the 2025 U.S.-Uzbekistan Annual Business Forum. This event is organized by the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC). The focus of Meyer's visit is to elevate the U.S.-Uzbekistan Strategic Partnership and explore new opportunities for commercial collaboration.

Eric Meyer holds a position as a career member of the Senior Foreign Service. He serves as Senior Bureau Official for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs. In this capacity, he manages U.S. policy priorities across South and Central Asia, including countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
